On The Buck Stops Here, former judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Markandey Katju said that in this case the Delhi Police had no right to enter Kerala House. Citing the Delhi Agricultural Cattle Preservation Act, 1994, he said that only Competent Authority or Veterinary Officer could enter the premises if there was complaint of 'beef eating', not the police.
