PM Modi in West Bengal: 'Bengal Has Been Freed From Shackles'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Tarakeswar in Hooghly on West Bengal Day, his first trip to the state after the new BJP government took office. Addressing a large gathering, he said Bengal was "free from shackles" and promised a new phase of development. PM Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects linked to railways, agriculture, fisheries and roads, while also releasing the 23rd instalment of PM-Kisan funds for farmers across the country.
