Some call it 'anarchy' at Presidency University, Kolkata - a university which has had the likes of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Amartya Sen and Satyajit Ray as its alumni. Locked out by students, the vice chancellor has held the prestigious convocation ceremony at a government-run cinema hall. Not one student apparently turned up for that ceremony. Students are on a sit in outside the vice chancellor's office because the temporary accommodation that has been offered to some students they say is uninhabitable. Boarders were meant to be shifted to the Eden Hindu Hostel by August 1, but the deadline is over and nothing has happened. In the last few months, campus protests have had a huge bearing on college education in Kolkata and now it's the turn of Presidency - one of India's finest centres of learning. On Trending @ 10, we ask: are student politics destroying the reputation of what was once one of India's finest centres for learning?
