India on Monday saw another huge jump in its Covid tally with 26,291 more people testing positive for the virus, according to the Union Health Ministry. This is the biggest jump in daily new cases in nearly three months. 118 deaths due to COVID-19 were logged in the last 24 hours while there are currently 2.19 lakh active cases in the country. Maharashtra recorded this year's highest one-day spike of 16,620 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday.
