A sudden and fast-moving storm lashed northern Illinois during the Monday morning rush hour, downing trees, ripping off roofs and leaving 800-thousand utility customers without power - the most outages in at least a decade. Several people were injured, including seven workers struck by a collapsing festival tent and a woman shocked by a high-voltage charge that came through her landline telephone.
