Akhila Ashokan, the young woman from Kerala who converted to Islam and calls herself Hadiya now, told reporters at Cochin airport today that "I have not been forcefully converted. I want to live with my husband Sheffin Jahan." 25-year-old Hadiya, who left her Kottayam home under heavy security, reached the airport at 3:30 in the evening; she will take a flight to New Delhi as she is to appear in the Supreme Court on Monday.
