The USHA Silai School program, that aims to empower women by skilling them and providing job opportunities, can now be found in the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh. USHA International limited in a joint partnership with SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India) is setting up such schools in Himachal under its flagship initiative Mission Swavalambhan. The initiative tied up with local NGO Aadhar Sanstha to enable setting up of the sewing-based village-level enterprise.
