Jharkhand Student Protesters Plan Vidhan Sabha March On August 10 If Demands Not Met

Student leader Ravindra Paswan said Jharkhand's protesting students are preparing for a major Vidhan Sabha March on August 10 if their demands are not accepted. He claimed that between 50,000 and 1 lakh students could participate in the march. Paswan said the 15-day indefinite protest is seeking cancellation of specific examinations, a CBI probe and reforms in the examination system. He added that the first round of talks with the government concluded on August 8, with officials assuring protesters that their demands would be placed before the Chief Minister, followed by another round of discussions. Paswan also accused the government of attempting to divide the movement by engaging with other organisations.
