Only under-utilised assets will be monetised and the ownership will remain with government, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said while unveiling the National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP) plan. The National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP) plan will cover a wide array of sectors ranging from road and railway assets, and airports to power transmission lines and gas pipelines. The government will not sell off any any assets, but only utilise them in a better way, the minister emphasized.
