The Karnataka government's textbooks for various classes are giving nightmares to parents. Chances are, they say, anyone depending solely on these may never pass the board exams. Even teachers have tagged the books "substandard in content and quality". One of the books has "The advent of Europeans to India" as its first chapter and Persian is printed as 'Presian'.
