Operation Sindoor Row: Congress Targets Rajnath Singh, Seeks Privilege Motion

A fresh political confrontation has erupted over Operation Sindoor, with the Congress accusing the Centre of misleading Parliament and the country over military casualties suffered during the operation.

Congress MP K.C. Venugopal has written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, seeking a privilege motion against Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The party alleges that the government's statements during the Lok Sabha debate on Operation Sindoor did not accurately reflect the casualties sustained and claims information regarding six soldiers killed in action was not properly disclosed.
