Pakistan is now counting the human and political cost of the armed assault on the Lal Masjid that killed radical cleric Abdul Rashid Ghazi and at least 50 militant fighters. The standoff between the Pakistani government and the militant Lal Masjid has finally ended on Tuesday when commandos stormed the mosque and madarsa complex.
