Three copies of the Guru Granth Sahib were flown to India from Kabul as Indian citizens and 46 Afghan nationals were evacuated as part of India's evacuation efforts from Afghanistan. Three granthis - Dharmendra Singh, Himmat Singh and Kulraj Singh - carried the copies of the Sikh holy scriptures back to India from Kabul.
