Israel Hits Iran-Backed Hezbollah In Major Strikes Across Beirut
Israel launched a series of powerful overnight airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in Beirut's southern suburbs, as well as parts of southern and eastern Lebanon. Explosions lit up the night sky, prompting Israeli warnings for residents to evacuate densely populated neighbourhoods. Traffic ground to a halt as panic spread, with many Beirut residents forced to spend the night outdoors, some sleeping on mattresses along the seaside promenade in the cold.
