Defence Minister on 14-crore bribe offer to Army chief

The Defence Minister addressed Parliament today on the allegation made by India's Army chief that he was offered a bribe of 14 crores in 2010. General VK Singh said the kickback was offered to him in his office by a retired defence officer. He did not disclose the name of the lobbyist or the company that he represented. General Singh said he had informed Defence Minister AK Antony immediately about the conversation.
