At the NDTV Defence Summit 2026, Chief of Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth unveiled his vision for a future-ready Indian Army through the concept of "SAMARTH", a seven-point framework designed to shape military preparedness in an era of rapidly evolving warfare. The Army Chief said future conflicts will demand a force that is technologically advanced, adaptable, resilient and capable of responding to emerging security challenges across domains. Using the word SAMARTH as a guiding framework, General Seth outlined the key ingredients required to build a modern fighting force prepared for next-generation battlefields.
