There is data from South Africa which suggests that Covishield's efficacy comes down to only 10-20% when it comes to dealing with the South African variant of the virus, AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria said. He says it is not an immediate cause of concern, adding more genome sequencing of positive cases is needed to study if more people are getting infected even if they are being vaccinated.
