The controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill has been cleared by the Union cabinet. This bill aims to pave the way for granting citizenship to the non Muslim migrants and granting Indian citizenship to people from six communities - Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists and Parsis. The opposition alleges that the bill targets Muslims and is at odds with the secular principles enshrined in the constitution as it excludes a community. On Left, Right and Centre, we ask is the citizenship amendment bill unconstitutional?
