The Congress has called a statewide bandh in Chhattisgarh today demanding the resignation of chief minister Raman Singh and health minister Amar Agarwal over the sterilization camp nightmare in Bilaspur, which left 11 women dead and 72 others in hospital. A four-member medical team from Delhi is on its way to Bilaspur after Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Raman Singh yesterday. The UN, too, has expressed concern over the deaths.
