The BJP's Sushma Swaraj, who is also the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha read Ms Banerjee's letter to the PM protesting against the move to set up the NCTC, while moving her motion. The NCTC was meant to be commissioned on March 1 but was delayed after all non-Congress states, including Ms Banerjee, wrote to the PM opposing it. Today, both the BJP and the Left had moved motions to amend the President's speech to remove a reference to the NCTC.
