Thousands of devotees and tourists braved bad weather to take part in the two-day Rath Yatra in Baripada. The yatra began a day after the Puri Rath Yatra and ends on Sunday. In Baripada, the unique tradition is that while both men and women pull the chariots of Lord Jagannath and Lord Balabhadra, it's only women who are allowed to pull the chariot of Devi Suvadra.
