The political fate of Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is in jail in a corruption case, was decided by voters in 18 Andhra Pradesh assembly constituencies in by-elections today and a big 80% voter turnout was recorded. Voters have conventionally been seen to be galvanised enough to vote in large numbers when they want a change.
