It was undoubtedly the political Googly of the day, Navjot Singh Sidhu resigning from the Rajya Sabha and all set to join Arvind Kejriwal in Punjab. Mr Sidhu has had an uneasy relationship with the BJP for some time, so when he was nominated to the Rajya Sabha just months ago, everyone thought the rift had been patched up. Mr Sidhu says he had accepted the Rajya Sabha nomination for the welfare of Punjab but that the purpose stands defeated, now a mere burden he doesn't want to carry. Mr Sidhu could even be the AAP's Chief Ministerial candidate in Punjab - is this a political masterstroke by the AAP or a sign of desperation? We debate on Left, Right and Centre.
