Pakistan And Afghanistan At War | Mosque, Homes Damaged In Pakistan As Afghan Shelling Escalates

A mosque and several residential buildings were damaged in Pakistan’s Bajaur district amid escalating cross-border shelling with Afghanistan. Residents reported injuries as strikes intensified between the two countries. Pakistan’s defence minister said Islamabad has run out of “patience” and now considers the situation an “open war,” following Afghan cross-border attacks. The remarks came hours after Pakistani airstrikes targeted Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia, according to officials and Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid. The escalation follows a ceasefire previously mediated by Qatar and Turkey.
