More than 1,000 visitors were trapped overnight at Guadalajara Zoo following the killing of the notorious Jalisco New Generation Cartel leader, El Mencho. Violence erupted across Jalisco and surrounding states on Sunday, forcing families to shelter in place while authorities and foreign governments warned residents to stay indoors.
