The parliament was back in session on Monday, and the opposition went on the offensive over the violence in Delhi, demanding answers from the government. The centre, however, refused to have any discussion until "normalcy" returns. The Supreme Court will hear on Wednesday a plea seeking police cases for hate speech against BJP leaders Anurag Thakur, Kapil Mishra, Parvesh Verma and Abhay Verma. The petitioners have said a court in Delhi has posted the matter six weeks later and that the matter was urgent.
