The CBI claims a major breakthrough in the NEET UG 2026 paper leak case after arresting Pune-based chemistry professor PV Kulkarni, allegedly the ‘kingpin’ of the conspiracy. According to the agency, Kulkarni had access to the NEET question paper through his involvement in the examination process and allegedly dictated several questions to students before the exam. Investigators say many questions matched the actual paper verbatim. The CBI has conducted raids across multiple states and recovered crucial documents and electronic evidence.
