A group of non-resident Indians living in Kazakhstan and Russia have sent Rs 49,000 for a soldier who had lost one of his legs after a landmine blast in the Kargil war. The soldier, Murugan, had been left in the lurch after the amputation and was struggling to look after his three daughters in his village in Tamil Nadu's Tuticorin district.
