Newsprint worth over Rs 3 million were set on fire allegedly by highway extortionists in ethnic violence-hit Manipur. It is a huge loss for local publications in a state already reeling under price rise due to road blockades in the hill areas, sources said, adding the total loss could be well over Rs 3 million too. Sources said the security forces in charge of guarding the road on which the newsprint trucks came have started looking for the accused.
