MK Stalin, the politician who allegedly forged the split between the DMK and the Congress, was wakened at 7 am by a CBI team that started searching his house in Chennai. Mr Stalin said the searches were retribution for his party's decision to quit the government earlier this week, accusing the government of diluting a U.N. resolution asking Sri Lanka to investigate alleged war crimes at the end of its civil war with separatist Tamil Tigers.
