Amit Shah on Bengal Election: “Bengal Has Chosen Change,” Targets Mamata’s “Corruption Raj"

Amit Shah, during a press conference on the West Bengal elections, said “Bengal has chosen change”, sharpening his attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He alleged widespread corruption, law and order failures, and entrenched syndicate networks under the current regime. Shah argued that rising voter turnout reflects growing support for the BJP and a shift in political sentiment. He promised improved governance, stronger women’s safety measures, and firm action against corruption if elected. Framing the contest as change versus continuity, he positioned the BJP as an alternative focused on development, transparency, and security in West Bengal.
