India's envoy to Qatar met eight ex-Navy personnel, who were sentenced to death in October, on Sunday. This was revealed by External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi today. The meeting has been seen as a positive step, addressing concerns over consular access to the eight naval personnel. It is also being linked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with the Qatar ruler on the sidelines of COP28 in Dubai.
