There is hope for the seven ex-Indian Navy officers and one sailor who are on death row in Qatar on charges of espionage. These charges have been completely denied. The External Affairs Ministry has now said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the Emir of Qatar on the sidelines of the COP 28 Climate Change Summit in Dubai recently where the two leaders discussed the overall bilateral relationship.
