The rise in LPG prices has hit the poor and the lower middle class families the most. Just 60 kilometers from Delhi, Tanga wala Yameen lives with his family in a village in UP's Hapur district. He makes a living by running a Tonga. His wife Husnara says the family got a subsidized gas connection under PM Ujjwala Yojana. But this poor family is unable to refill the cylinder and is forced to cook on a chulha because of the rising cost of a domestic LPG cylinder.
