The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a plea seeking postponement of JEE (Main) and NEET-Undergraduate examinations, which are scheduled to be conducted in September, amid a spurt in number of COVID-19 cases, saying precious years of the students "cannot be wasted". Despite massive online protest against holding of medical and engineering entrance exams during COVID, the government says there is no question of postponing and that life must go on. Kapil Gupta the CEO of NEETprep.com told NDTV, "The document uploaded by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on their website talks about things that will happen inside the exam centre. But inside the centre is not an issue. It is the outside which is a complete nightmare."
