The death under suspicious circumstances of a young woman in Andhra Pradesh who was trolled viciously by a political party for supporting their political rival in a video, has once again drawn attention to the issue of offensive, vulgar, humiliating, threatening attacks on women on social media. Uma Sudhir points out that political parties, social media managers and platforms need to take responsibility.
