Pranab Mukherjee's son wins Jangipur by-poll by just over 2500 votes

Abjijit Mukherjee, son of President Pranab Mukherjee and Congress candidate has won the Jangipur Lok Sabha by-election. But what will serve as a wake-up call for the Congress, he won the seat by just 2,536 votes. This despite, the Trinamool Congress not putting up a candidate against him. In 2009, Pranab Mukherjee had won the seat by a huge margin of over 1.28 lakh votes.
