A well-known young woman vocalist in the Tamil film industry has exposed a veteran Tamil lyricist of having sexually harassed her, as part of the #MeToo movement on social media. Now, this has become a talking point on campuses. Many women students say the movement has come as an eye opener, revealing the magnitude of the problem. While this has given courage to many to tell their story, some are also cautious that the public name and shame movement could be personal vendetta as well.
