Dr Ashish Jha, Director of Harvard Global Health Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts, spoke to NDTV's Sonia Singh on the India model of the lockdown amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He said the India model of lockdown early was "very smart". He also said India needs to speed up its testing much more than it has. Mr Jha spoke about the alarming number of deaths in the US. He said no one across the political spectrum disagrees with the idea that the US was too slow to respond to the crisis.
