The Akali Dal has lodged an official complaint with the BJP to "tame" former MP Navjot Singh Sidhu after he took a swipe at the BJP's alliance partner, saying, "For them, it is only 10 per cent sewa and 90 per cent 'mewa'." Speaking to NDTV, Mr Sidhu said he never mentioned anybody's name, and it is for the Akali Dal to answer why they feel they are in the category of those who are looting and plundering Punjab. He said that BJP workers were unhappy with the alliance with Akali Dal and in Punjab it was "government by the people, but for a family".
