"The nightmare of pumps running dry and long queues to fill fuel will be over soon with the 45000 oil sector officers finally calling off their strike," said Oil and Petroleum Minister Murli Deora. But it wasn't easy to end the stalemate. After several appeals and requests some tough talking began with co bosses telling their officers that they will have to face the consequences for going on an illegal strike and holding the country to ransom.
