Here's a retracing of the COVID-19 nightmare that Delhi went through during the deadly second wave of the pandemic. The national capital became an epicenter of the Covid crisis, with hospitals posting SOS messages on social media for medical oxygen, and people dying due to oxygen shortage. Crematoriums were under immense pressure with the rising fatality count. For nine terrifying days - from April 23 to May 1 - the number of Covid cases in Delhi rose from nine lakh to lakh.
