Chennai Covid Cases to Pass Record Infections During 2nd Wave

Chennai's COVID daily tally has increased six times in a week from 619 cases a week ago to 3759 yesterday, a 43 per cent jump from the day before. Experts have projected a sharp rise in numbers. Tamil Nadu recorded 6983 cases yesterday.The state is already enforcing a night curfew. There will be a total lockdown on Sunday. NDTV's Sam Daniel spoke to the Greater Chennai Commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi on the city's projections, preparedness and the challenges.
