The CBI has appealed to the Supreme Court against a 12-year-old high court order cancelling charges in the Bofors case against UK-based industrialists, the Hinduja brothers, and the Swedish firm. The CBI petition comes just days after Attorney General KK Venugopal advised the government against an appeal, saying it was likely to be dismissed only on account of the long delay.
