"Freedom of speech should be sacrosanct. Vir Das is being punished for something he has done in the past. He is not the only one. 'Vishwaroopam' was banned in Tamil Nadu because some Islamic groups protested against it. People had to go to Bengaluru to watch the movie. Now, the reverse has happened," sid Kasturi Shankar, actor and activist, when asked whether Vir Das' show's cancellation is justified.
