In the eye of a storm in the courts and in Parliament, businessman Vijay Mallya tweeted saying he hadn't fled, and had every intention of returning to India and facing the judicial process, because as a parliamentarian, a Rajya Sabha MP, he understood the law of the land and the need to uphold it. But is he a fit case for expulsion from the Rajya Sabha? Has he violated conduct rules for an MP? Not only is he an MP, Mr Mallya is a member of important parliamentary committees including aviation.
