AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria has asked people to avoid large gatherings indoors as COVID-19 infection can spread rapidly if people have indoor parties, especially card parties during Diwali. If a function is important, it should be held outdoors with proper physical distancing. Dr Guleria said all types of firecrackers should be banned and people should refrain from using firecrackers to celebrate.
