Nepal Youth Erupts, Stages Protest Over Eviction of Landless Squatters
Kathmandu's civic administration is under pressure as hundreds of people gathered in Nepal's capital to protest the govt's drive to evict landless squatters without providing alternative resettlement. The protest that began against the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Police has been going on for a few days. It escalated sharply after many young people criticised the government for evicting and relocating landless people to holding centres.
