46 years ago, the Islamic revolution upturned the political timeline of Iran. The crowds had come out and taken control of the streets and their destiny. The Islamic revolution had promised freedom for the Iranians, freedom to choose, freedom to dream, freedom to live with dignity and as equals in the eye of the law. But multiple times, since 1979, the people of Iran have had to come out protesting, lamenting and objecting to their state of affairs. Belligerent crowds and an unyielding regime have clashed over and over again. As lives have been lost and dreams squashed...the crowds have dispersed ...but always leaving behind it, the lingering promise of an ultimate return. Someday...some time the crowd will again have its say...On NDTV we Focus on the CROWD & IRAN.
