NDRF DIG Mohsen Shahidi On Rescue Operations In AP, Telangana

Speaking on rescue operations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, NDRF DIG Mohsen Shahidi on September 03 informed that 26 teams are working in affected areas. 

"As you are aware because of the depression that had developed in the Bay of Bengal and extremely heavy rainfall that occurred in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, a flood-like situation has developed in some of the districts in Andhra Pradesh. In this situation, NDRF teams have been deployed. Now, we have 26 teams which are working in the affected areas. We have also airlifted 12 teams. More than 5,000 people have been rescued and the relief operations especially the distribution of the relief material are sending to the people in affected areas...The situation is improved today," said Mohsen Shahidi.
